Hey everyone! LOOOOOOOOONNGGG time… no see.
For many nights over the course of these past few weeks, I’ve wanted to post an update to this blog. I sat, twiddling my thumbs, thinking of all the things I could write about. In the end, though, I could never decide. Shortly after, I would give up and get back to writing, playing video games, or whatever else I was doing.
Now, at 11:42 on a Wednesday night, I’ve finally worked up the willpower to shoot out one of these updates. Why? How? I wish I knew. The good news is that I have some cool stuff to talk about.
My last post, which introduced “The Blood of the Traveler”, is now all but obsolete. As I warned much earlier in the game, titles and themes of my written works which I regularly discuss on this site are always subject to change… usually quite frequent change.
It started as Dreadscapes. It evolved into something bigger. Now, it grows into a different beast entirely.
Allow me to introduce Foxgloves & Fireflies, the same thing you’ve heard me talk about in these past posts that is also so, so very different from what you may think it is.
F&F still retains many of the ideas from DREADSCAPES, but it’s certainly not an anthology anymore; it’s a full length novel that has three interconnected stories to tell (one of these being ‘Foxgloves’, the new name given to ‘The Blood of the Traveler’).
I’m writing this update, mainly, to let you know that things are going well. Slowly, too, but still…
I’m nearing the completion of Foxgloves (formerly known as Blood of the Traveler) and I’ve already begun drafting and outlining for the second story within the novel, ‘Fireflies on Cane Street’. If I’m able to, I may eventually post more chapters from Foxgloves on this site as a bit of a preview, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Also- one more book cover. Check it out!
